Niels Bohr was a physicist who gave many laws and theories in field of physics. Niels Bohr is very well known for giving his contribution to understanding the atomic structures of atoms. He also gave his important contribution to understanding Quantum physics. He invented Bohr magneton.

Birth: Niels Bohr was born on 7 October, 1885, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Niels Bohr was second child in his family. He was younger than his sister Jennifer Bohr and alder than his brother Harald Bohr.

Died: Niels Bohr was died on 18 November, 1962, In Copenhagen, Denmark. He died, when he was 77 years old. 

Education: Niels Bohr studied in many colleges. They are 

1. Trinity College

2. University of Manchester

3. Gammelholm Latin School. 

4. Copenhagen University. 

Achievements: Niels Bohr was a gave very important theories, of physics. Theories and his contribution towards physics are:

1. Bohr Magneton.

2. Bohr Radius.

3. Bohr–van Leeuwen theorem.

4. Bohr- Einstein debate.

5. Bohr–Kramers–Slater theory.

6. Copenhagen interpretation.

7. Bohr- summerfeld theory.

8. Complementarity principle.

9. Bohr model.

These all are theories proposed by Niels Bohr.

Awards: Niels Bohr has many awards those are:

1.  Hughes Medal , (year 1921).

2. Nobel prize for physics (1922).

3. Foreign Member of the Royal Society ( year 1926).

4. Franklin Medal in ( 1926).

5. Faraday Lectureship Prize ( year 1930).

6. Max Planck Medal ( Year 1930).

8. Sonning Prize.

9. Order of the year  ( year 1945).

10. Atoms for Peace Award ( year 1957)

Family: Christian Bohr and Ellen Adler Bohr was parents of Niels Bohr. He married with Margrethe Norlund in year 1912. They has six sons. Aege Bohr , Eric Bohr Ernest Bohr, Hans Henric Bohr, and Cristion Bohr.
