Max Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck was a scientist, theoretical physicist. He gave many theoretical formulas in field of physics. He is very well known for his important contribution to theoretical physics. He was also known as originator of quantum theory (theory which helps to understand atomic and subatomic possesses). In owner of Max Planck, Kaiser Wilhelm Society which is a German scientific institute, was renamed by Max Planck society in 1948. He won Nobel prize in 1918 in field of physics.

Birth: Max Planck was born on 23 April, 1858. in Kiel, Duchy of Holstein.

Died: Max Planck was died on 4 October, 1947; in Gottingen, lower Saxony, Allied occupied Germany.

Education: Max Planck studied in.

1. University of Munich in 1874.

2. Friedrich Wilhelms university, Berlin, in 1877 to 1878.

He got his doctoral degree in year 1879, when he was 21 year old.

Achievements: max Planck gave a very important contribution in field of theoretical physics. He is specially became famous for his role as promoter of Quantum theory. He gave many important quantities and theories of physics and those are:

1. Plank constant (h).{h= 6.626×10-34}. 

2. Planck postulate. Which is one of the fundamental principle of Quantum mechanics.

3. Planck's low for Black Body Radiation.

4. Third Law of thermodynamics.

5. Nernest - Planck equation.

6. Fokker - Planck equation.

Awards: Max Planck got many awards for his discoveries in physics. Awards given to Max Planck are 

1. Nobel prize in physics. In year 1918.

2. Foreign Associate of the National Academy of Sciences . In year 1926.

3. Lorentz Medal. In year 1927. By Royal Netherlands academy of art and science.

4. Copley Medal. In year 1929.

5. Max Planck Medal. In year 1929.

6. Goethe prize. In year 1945.

Nationality: German.

Family:  Emma Patzig was mother and Julius Wilhelm von Planck was father of Max Planck. He married with Marie Merck in year 1887 . After she died in 1909 he married with Marga von Hosslin in 1911. There was five children of Max Planck. Erwin Planck, Hermann Planck, Emma Planck , Grete Planck  and Karl Planck was children of Max Planck.
