ISRO - Indian Space Research Organisation
Indian space research organisation (ISRO) is an aerospace research organisation of India. ISRO operates under department of space which is directly seen by prime minister of India. Chairman of ISRO also acts as CEO of department of space. It is one of the six space agencies in the world which have full launch facilities. ISRO is on 5th rank in the world.
Establishing year: ISRO was established on 15 August, 1969 by Vikram Sarabhai. ISRO was established for developing and encouraging the space technology in India.
Head quarter: ISRO's head quarter is located in Banglore, Karnatak, India.
ISRO's logo: ISRO's logo was adopted in year 2002.
Achievements: ISRO Made many successful projects which are as follows :
- INSAT (Indian National Satellite system) : ISRO launched INSAT in year 1983. INSAT-1 is one of the largest domestic communication system in Indo-Pacific region. INSAT was commissioned for satisfying-telecommunications, disaster warning, broadcasting, meteorology and rescue operations. It has ca very important role in communication sector of India.
- SRE- 1 (space capsule recovery experiment).
- RLV ( Reusable Launch Vehicle). RLV was Launched on 23 may 2007.
- Chandrayan : ISRO made the first space mission to moon in 2008. Chandrayan was launched for covering earth by topographic angle.
- GSLV MK3 ( Geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle mark 3): GSLV MK3 is a space craft ,launched by ISRO in 2014. It can carry about 4000 kgs and also three astronaut.
- Mars orbiter mission : ISRO lounched mom in 2014. With this mission india becomes the fourth country who reach to the Red planet. United States, Russia and Europe are other three countries who reached to Mars. ISRO completed this mission by INR 450 crores.
- IRNSS : ISRO launched Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System in year 2016. It is an independent navigation system which is designed for giving correct information to Indian people.
- PSLV c21: ISRO lounched Polar satellite launch vehicle c21 on 9 September 2012. Launch of PSLV c21 was the 100th mission of ISRO .
- Aryabhata : launch of Aryabhatta is the first satellite mission of ISRO. Aryabhata is the first satellite of India which was launched by a Russian rocket. It was launched on April 19, 1975 by Soviet Kosmos 3M rocket from Kapustin Yar .
- Launch of 104 satellite : ISRO launched 104 satellites from Shriharikota and made a world record of launching greatest number of satellite in one mission etc.
